Hi, I'm Bernie from the UK, I was a member of this forum about 10 years ago but a house move that ended up needing a lot more work that anticipated, a busy job and a number of 1/1 car projects didn't leave much time for modelling so I ended up dropping out of circulation. My original introduction is here: indycarmodeling.proboards.com/thread/1206/hi-ukIt all still applies but I'm embarrassed to say that the dusty old Monogram Kurtis Kraft from the attic still isn't finished and hadn't progressed any further than my last post - indycarmodeling.proboards.com/thread/1214/monogram-kurtis-kraft-500Recent early retirement has allowed me to start enjoying the things I didn't have time for and the good news is the Kurtis Kraft has been rescued from the loft and work is underway on it again... I fully intend to complete it this time! I'll post up some new progress reports as it moves along. Happy modelling to you all Bernie Daniels

Welcome back Bernie! I think all of us have at sometime or other have had life get in the way of our modeling. It is important to take care of those things first. Glad to have you back!

Thanks Jim it's good to be back, I'm looking forward to finishing off some of those old projects and hopefully contribute something of interest along the way.

Hey Bernie: Welcome back. Don't forget, though, that the Kurtis Kraft car goes "anti-clockwise" around the track. LOL. That's a great kit and there are a lot of aftermarket decal sets to replicate some of the more well known KK500B and C Indy cars. Take care, Bobby C

Hi Bobby,
Thanks, but won't their wheels unwind ;o) For it's age the old Monogram Kurtis Kraft is really accurate in body shape and the moulds have stood the test of time really well. I've got a really old early issue, a re-issue from the "racing classic" duo and the more recent yellow SSP re-issue and there's next to no flash on any of them. I have several sets of decals from Indycals but my problem is I have more decals than kits... I guess there's an easy solution to that one!
Cheers Bernie
