Air jacks? Don't tell us you're going to plug the car into your air brush compressor and be able to raise it...HAH!

Thanks hubie! You are correct, it would've been nice to see a couple of other decal options for this car when the kit was available. I would think that if I were a decal maker, when I knew of a potential release of a kit I would try to get out as many different decal versions for that kit. I would think that would help my decal sales and the sales of the kit. However, it sounds too easy, so I'm sure that's not the case or it would've been done already!

Absolutely crackin' job! How did you go about tinting the windshield?

Absolutely crackin' job! How did you go about tinting the windshield? Good question rusty? Actually this is one of the areas that I wish I could do over! After cutting out the vacform windshield, I usually sand down the edges very carefully, so that the edges are smooth and even all around. Once that was done I taped off the bottom inside edge and painted it flat black. What I should have done next was to decal the edges with Indycals silver bolts and rivets. I didn't do that, I next used Tamiya clear yellow and sprayed the inside of the windshield, using my Pasche single action airbrush with a #1 tip, wide open. It really looked nice, until...........I started decaling the rivets around the edges. With my sausage fingers, I easily left and number of good fingerprints and couldn't easily get them off. I had to strip everything and start over. This time I did it in the proper order of spraying the edge black, then decaling the rivets, then tinting the inside of the windshield. Once this was all completed, I then airbrushed Tamiya clear on the outside of the windshield. You could also use Future floor polish on the windshield. However, doing it over the windshield didn't seem as pristine as the first time. Jim
