So I'm trying to figure out what to build next and I've got so many choices I've decided to see what the board members here would like to see.
Once decided I'll post WIP photos.
Here's the options: (sorry if some of them don't fit in the chronology of the thread category) 1. Olsonite Eagle 2. Rick Mears 1979 winner 3. Lola 93 (with Marlboro decals from Ayrton Senna test session) 4. Reynard 99 (with Greg Moore's Players markings)

Mears 79 winner. It'll make building the rest of them seem easy by comparison.

Well, 1,2, and 4 are easy builds. The challenge would be 3. You would actually have to do a conversion or complete rebuild, as has been discussed many times, becuase the test car for Senna was actually a Penske PC-21, not a Lola. Whatever you do, I hope you do a WIP

Thanks for the heads up regarding Senna's test car illeagle. Makes sense it was a Penske. The donor car for the Greg Moore Reynard would be Zanardi's Reynard. Any potential issues there?

It all depends on what year you are building. If your building a 97 or 98 car for Moore you should use the Castrol or Shell car for the correct BBS wheels. For 99 you'll probably want to use a later issue with the different sidepods, like the Miller Lite, Pioneer, Motorola or Visteon cars. Revell did make a special edition of the Player Reynard for Moore and Carpantier. You can find them on ebay every now and then. Hope this helps. Jim

Thanks for the info about Greg Moore's car Jim. I might just save the Zanardi model as he's a sentimental favorite of mine. It's starting to look like Mr. Mears is going to get the nod.

I also have the Zinardi car on my list. I'm leary of building it due to the horror stories I've read about the decals.

So it's decided. Rick Mears' 1979 ride is going on the work bench. I would assume I should just junk the stock decals and replace them with a set from Indycals.

The Indycals Gould Charge sheet has been ordered (along with the Gillmore Special sheet for my Aurora kit, and my long neglected Lotus Turbine which is going to eventually get decked out with Graham Hill's markings)
Let the build begin!

Anyone have good reference photos of Mears' 79 winner. I've done the whole Google Images thing and wasn't overly impressed with the results.
Thanks in advance.
