With the Lotus' well on their way I figured it was time to pick a new WIP and well I don't recall ever seeing this one on here so here we go I picked up this moldy oldie Bill Jorgensen 85 March on eBay I think about 2 years ago the price was right and since I had wanted one forever I couldn't say no I thought it had came with the windscreen but if it had then I've miss placed it no worries if I can't find it the Penske PC-18 screen will work ok for me The body was originally mastered from a PC-18 so that's what I'm using for the undertray and it fits like a glove The lower front suspension arms are also PC-18 parts Here are some of the parts so far I will be using a 1988 March for the rest Now to look for that windscreen I swear I had it lol More to come soon

Wow! An old Jorgensen/Potaro resin body, haven't seen one of those in a long time Mike! Are you sure you got a windscreen with it?

OK let's get going with this one I filled the holes for the upper suspension with some Milliput if you remember Bill would just put a huge hole for the uppers and send you a white metal upper Lola piece no matter what car he sent lol I will be drilling new holes after sanding this smooth Here is the PC-18 windscreen it looks ok but is a lil short at the back I do have a plan and it should work out a-ok

It will be fun to see this when completed.
Even though I'm still rooting for Mario to win!

I wish I would've kept at least one of the old Jorgensen/Indycals 85 March bodies to compare to the newer release from Indycals. By the way I did look through my extra stuff, but could not find a windscreen for you to fit the 85 March. I'm glad you were able to work that out.

I wish I would've kept at least one of the old Jorgensen/Indycals 85 March bodies to compare to the newer release from Indycals. Your wish is my command! I happened to have both boxes by my desk. Older (Bill’s casting) version is the more brown/orange and the newer (Calvin’s casting) is the lighter body. Overall, since MP did both masters, they are mostly similar. I will save commenting on most of the obvious. Calvin is casting much thinner pieces. The broken kickup is my fault. Jordan

For those OCD about details, in talking to Michael about this car his only niggle with the kit is the NACA duct at the back. NACA ducts on the 85C varied by team and he compromised on one position. If he had to do it again, he would have added multiple ducts then let the builder fill in the ones not needed for the car they are building.

Jordan I'm going to end up just drawing up some NACA duct decals for mine It's one of those features that once you notice it you have to add it

There's nothing like trying to add NACA ducts to a model! I hate it!. Never seem to get them just right. I also never cared for cockpits being molded into the car. I like to detail the interiors and being molded in makes it that much harder.
