Hi all, So I’m looking to build Buddy Lazier’s car from the 1996 Indy 500. I’ve found the decals for it, but I’m having trouble locating the body style Ford model kit for that year. I’d love to be as authentic as possible, but if not, hopefully there’s a kit out there that will work. Can anyone offer any help with this?
Thank you!!

Hi Skidmark, First off, welcome aboard, glad you found and joined the forum here! As far as your question is concerned. The only accurate or close to accurate kit ever released of Lazier's 96 Reynard Winner was in resin by Bill Jorgensen. That was about 20 years ago. Of course it is extremely hard to find these days and when they come up on eBay they go for a good price! Gary Doucette also produced a 96 Indy winner in resin and that is even harder to find. I would say the Jorgensen kit is a little more accurate than the Doucette kit. Others have used the Revell Reynard while not quite a 95/96 Reynard it can come pretty close with some modifications to what you are looking for. Here's a link to Calvin's conversion of the Revell Reynard from a 98 Reynard to a 96 Reynard; mb2501.proboards.com/thread/1643/1996-bryant-wavephore-reynardHope this helps, Jim
