Yeah I've probably lost what was left of my mind lol The body isn't really that bad and I think a good model can be built from this I filled the inside with just some regular air dry molding clay I did this to give it some weight and to make it stronger when I have to drill into it later I also added some plastic sheet to close in the bottom and make it look nice lol I still need to sand it completely flush to the body The cowl is way too wide I removed some of the plastic from the front to get the right shape I enlarged the cockpit and started to add plastic to the sides Looks a lot better More later

Great start, Mike. I'm looking forward to seeing another K.G. kit being made and what you can do with it.

My Ken Glen story is not pleasant. Never got my model. I eventually picked up one off of eBay in a collection of Indy car bits.

I've heard that a lot sadly I got this and a bunch of other bits and pieces of his kits from Art Lasky last year and to be honest it wasn't what I was expecting they really aren't that bad and I dare say the Chaparral 2k is actually pretty good

Well since the front end was totally off why not just cut it off Made a new front end from putty just have to patch it in and make it look pretty

Mike anything done to a K.G. is much better than when it first began! So, it's 100% already!

Hey Mike! Glad to see this out on the bench. Even if it never materializes into anything, you're still getting more use out of it than I would have!

Just a quick update haven't had much time for modeling in the last two weeks but I did decide I'm going to make this the 74 pole winning car instead of the 77 winner Body is pretty much ready for primer and the cowl is almost ready Once I get primer on them I can start adding the details like the hole for the fuel filler, naca duct to the cowl etc Thanks for looking

Mike, the 1974 pole winner is a good choice, the K.G. had a inaccurate front end for the 1977 winning car. I did mine as the the 1976 Janet Guthrie car and didn't spend much time making it accurate, just out of the box. You got it looking good! Can't wait to see it done.

It's honestly not a bad little kit and more importantly I'm having fun with it
