30 years ago, Team Penske swept the front row at the Indianapolis 500. No team has accomplished that feat in the three decades since then. After I built Danny Sullivan's car last year, I decided to build the other two Penskes! Since that time I finally purchased an airbrush, plus I learned from my mistakes on the previous car and found even more awesome source pictures to help me make them more accurate.
For the Mears and Unsers cars, I used Indycals decals, Tamiya TS-16 yellow from the rattle can, Alclad chrome for the wheels and suspension, Alclad Aqua Gloss and Model Master lusterless flat for the clear coats. Thanks to Lew (cfd) for the wheel covers. I only used them on Sullivan's and Unser's cars, since Mears ran most of the race without them.
