Jaunjo: Will you break the suspension when you put on the Dunlops? Seriously, an outstanding build! I always wonder what Jimmy thought in 1964...he was waaaay ahead when he came upon the accident...then Marshman bolts by on the restart, then rips the oil plug out...all the while, his tires are causing him problems...suspension collapses and the pole winner and fastest car is out of the race... Second as a rookie, then this, then a dominating win in ‘65, followed by a second in ‘66...he certainly stamped his impression on the Speedway...I always put him in the class of Fangio, Senna, and Schumacher: truly one of the all time greats... Really great work on the Lotus 34 Juanjo, as usual, your build is spot on. That is a car I have always wanted to have on my model shelf, but never had the skills to make it happen.
I bet Mr. Chapman regretted the Dunlap decision all the rest of his life.
I agree, Jim Clark was one of the all time greatest racers.

Juanjo Incredible again you make it look so easy. I am in awe of your talent. One question what tires did you use and did you do any modifications to them? Joe

Juanjo Answered my own question about the tires after rereading your build notes.

Jaunjo: Another masterpiece! Man you just crank them out...I don’t want to hijack this thread, but I felt like I should this car in another livery...J C Agajanian acquired this car and modified it for Parnelli Jones to race in the 1965 Indy 500... Parnelli drove it to second place... I also made a Linda Vaughn figure because it was a Hurst car... One of my favorite builds... Parnelli later purchased this car and restored it to the Clark 1964 car that Juanjo built...it was sold a few years ago, with several other Vel’s cars to the Indy HOF Museum, where it is today... Again, a beautiful build by Juanjo! Tim

I know the AMT Lotus 29 with all its faults have been discussed "ad infinitum" BUT who else but AMT made a nice 1/24
Colotti gearbox, the 255 w/Weber's was nice but on the small scale but the Dunlop wheels were nice. I wish someone had trimmed down the rear Firestone's diameter, the tread pattern was still excellent. I do a lot of 60's sports racers and the good old AMT Lotus 29 still provides a wealth of inaccurate but close needed parts.
