Well since I had all the parts laying around I decided to get working on this one 1st thing I did was to lay the body on top of the drawing as you can see the nose is short so I'm going to use a 2nd Louts to make it longer I made a mark where I'm going to make the cut on the 1st body And on the 2nd Cut and glued To make the buldges on the sides of the body I'm going to use the Lotus 29's engine cover the parts in red will be cut away Cut away Next I will cut the engine cover in 1/2 and trim the peices till I get the fit I want Now I have it the way I want it and need to shape it with some Apoxie Sculpt Putted in and waiting to sand to shape and yes I know the buldges are one piece so I need to figure out how to get it all togather Thanks for looking More soon

Interested to follow how you are making this one happen. Always wanted one but lacked the skills to tackle it. It would be nice if you could talk Michael P into doing the race day decals. Your effort looks great so far. What kit's engine are you going to use? Curious as to how you plan to replicate the Dunlap tires that trashed the rear suspension. Keep up the great work

Engine will be from the MPC Gurney Eagle and decals and tires I'm not even thinking of those yet lol the top engine cover is going to be the hard part I can't find any good pics '

The top engine cover is pretty simple. To me it looks like the wheels and tires are going to be hard as well as proper race day decals. Looking forward to seeing this one come together. Glad the pics were some help.

OK I'm at the point of this conversion where I have to ask would there interest in a kit of this?
It would include a one piece body with an opening on the bottom to fit in the cockpit parts, the ford engine and exhaust, engine cover, wheels and tires you would still need an AMT Lotus for the rest
The cost would probably be around $60.00 plus shipping and it would be offered as a pre order with a 45 day delivery window
I would need to have at least 15 pre orders to do it I know there is a lot of pre order hate going around but I really can't produce a kit any other way I just don't have the financial backing to do it
Let me know what you guys think

Me too Mike! I took a bunch of shots of this car at the IMS Museum. I'll try to track them down and see if I have anything helpful.
