Any one know the color of joe leonard's 1971 Samsonite Colt. It looks fluorescent to me or is it just really bright yellow. Any tamiya, model masters or any other paint codes would help. Thanks guys. P.S. I planning to model this car in 1/25 th, if it turns out anybody interested in copies?

Many thanks to Bob Clidinst for drawing these up and to Walt for making them available. I started out with a Bill Jorgensen 1970 Colt. At first I thought they are not that different but when I got the drawings and compared I found out how wrong I was. The nose on the Samsonite is a little longer and looking down from the top the "wing" area is much wider. So...get out the putty and sheet styrene. I added some putty to the right side and took off some on the left. More to come.....

This is the same car as the Unser winner, correct? Count me in for 1 as well.

This is the same car as the Unser winner, correct? Count me in for 1 as well. Not the same car, very similar but look at the shape of the side wings (much longer) and the inlets, also the area that the rear suspension arm goes into the body, again wider than the Unser winner. Wider "deck" or area between the engine and side wing. Also the side wing is made up of two flat surfaces, broke in the middle just after the "VAL'S PARNELLI JONES FORD decal.where the Unser was one flat surface. The Samsonite is a car onto itself as near as I can tell. Thanks for the question tho, I didn't realize the differences either until I order the decals and was preparing to do the Samsonite car.

Thanks guys, I thought I would post some more pics. It's been going good and surprisingly fast considering what I'm trying to do here. I had to locate the NACA duct closer to the nose according to the drawings. Not done yet (of course) got to fill the hole at the back of the vent. Also got the side wings done and it will have an interior w/ bulkheads attached.

Slow but steady progress, this is the seat I'm using from the 68 eagle. The mold (on the left) was just to get the vinyl seat to resin so I can make changes to it. The middle is what comes from the mold and the one on the right is the seat being worked on, 85% done. I lowered the sides and added the holes for the seat belts. The lower pic is the fuel filler and inspection plate. I am not happy with how these came out. I ordered bolt detail from RB Motion today. When they arrive I'll try it again. I got the right idea but I used photo etched bolts that when molded showed the ca used and where not "crisp". I'll use the bolts drilling through the styrene and gluing on the backside. This SHOULD be a cleaner appearance. Thanks for all your interest, I didn't realize so many would want a copy, I'll do my best......
