HI: Back in 1988 I re-created the PC 17's driven by Rick Mears, Danny Sullivan and Al Unser at Indy in one eighth scale and cast them in bronze. The cars sat on the front row. I was commissioned to make a bronze in commemoration of the feat. The odds of one car owner putting all three cars on the front row were over 34,000 to one, or so I was told by a college math professor. I still have the original "hard" copies of the cars that were cast in a bondo type material and I am considering having a modeler finish the cars. I want someone to provide and install the necessary decals, I can have the cars painted, but want someone to do the finish work. Thus if you are interested, or even know where I can obtain the original decals I'd like to correspond with you. Of course I had all of them at one time, and I had them etched in ultra thin brass, and then glued them to my bondo models, and all of the decals stood slightly proud of the bronze and the effect was perfect. Unfortunately, all of the ultra thin brass has popped off over the years while the cars were in storage and I don't have the original decals.

First off Carl, I'd like to welcome you to our board! It's a pleasure and honor to have you here! The cars looked fantastic. Hopefully we can find someone or at least get you going in the right direction to help you out.
Jim
