In 1936 Overton "Bunny" Phillips entered his Type 35 Bugatti. It was to be driven by Luther Johnson. Unfortunately, the car did not qualify. A few years ago, before Mr Phillips passed away I sent him a letter in regards to the car and his mechanic confirmed that the car was blue and he sent me a sample of the paint. They ran the Bugatti on Firestone balloons and for the most part the car is a stock Bugatti, keep in mind that the stock Bugatti was a premier car on the European Grand Prix circuit. I am creating a replica of that car from the Monogram kit. The only other difference is the shape of the cowl which I have sculpted out of epoxy putty. I am going to modify the Wills Finecast tyres as I did with my Miller by putting them in the lathe and turning them to the correct "balloon" shape. Then I will cast them and "lace" them up. I will also make the decals.

The cowl is a separate piece that i will cast. It will be attached and feathered in with spot putty.
