A little known car with a cool history... Early stage... after the debacle of 1935, Henry Ford locked up the Miller Fords in embarrassment ...Lewis Welch (later the owner of the famous Novi's) talked him into giving(selling) one of the cars...Henry Ford stipulated that a Ford motor could not be used...so in May of 1938, the car showed up at Indy with an Offy on board...the entry was called Offenhauser... There are virtually no photos of this car, so some imagination will be at work on the right side... Moving right along... At "The Brickyard" Finished interior...note gear shift and brake lever mounted on the floor... Last, but certainly not least, is this hilarious story from the Autocourse Indy 500 book (Donald Davidson co-wrote)... So we can say "Nuvolari drove this car"...but only down pit lane... Comments, questions, etc. are welcome...thanks for looking! Tim

And it is finished! Gary (GWS decals), Walt Schaub and I used "best guess" on the right side...the logo was used on Fred Offenhauser stationary... The dash and interior came out better than expected... A fun build... Front... I need to show this car against others of the 30's...it is sleek, low slung, and looks "futuristic" when compared with others... Thanks for looking! Tim

This shot shows how cool this car looks compared to others of that era...33 winner on left and 46 winner on right... Another angle... Thanks for looking! Tim
