I just received my FPPM kit and it is really nice. 52 parts make up the kit and the decals are clean and crisp. I have always been intrigued by this car and the revolution it started. Interesting to note is FPPM molded the brass suspension pieces into the chassis once cleaned up it will make for a very solid suspension.$119 Pre order on ebay. Stay tuned for WIP.

Cal. this looks like an awesome kit, My life long friend Phillipe De Lespinay owned and restored the original car and while it was on display in a local museum I was able to take a bunch of good pics, if I can find them I will post them . Phillipe sold the car not long after so I no longer have access to the car.. I will see what I can do... Chris

On the left is Phillipe and the right of course John Cooper at the 100th year of Indy celebration, with the correctly restored car. I say that because initially during restoration the car was painted British Racing Green but as you can see the correct color is a very deep Blue!! Here is a link to my Fotki album with about 18 pics, not mine but some close ups of the suspension , interior and body.. great reference!!! public.fotki.com/pmodwrks/cooper-t54-indy/ I will be adding a few more later, Enjoy... Very impressive kit, I am hoping to get his kit of Mike Hawthorn's 1958 Ferrari.

Well...I can never leave good enough alone. The white decal stripes that come with kit were bugging me as I don't think decals ever really look that great over compound curves and the radiator cooling tube that was molded in was going to be painted white to match the decal. So...I cut off the molded in cooling shroud and fashioned a new one out of brass. Now I can mask the white for my stripes and paint the shroud a matching white. The plan is to squirt white first then mask my stripe, then squirt blue.

Squirt? Is that a technical term?
