Here is my take on Howdy Wilcox's 1919 Indianapolis-winning Peugeot. The car is built from Gary Doucette's resin kit. I painted the body Model Master Blue Angel Blue. I'm not sure exactly what shade of blue is correct so I chose a shade that I liked. Gary specifies red for the wheels and seats and so that's what I painted them though I wonder if either would have been black or blue? I've seen only black and white photos so I went with what Gary says. The tires are painted light gray, I just mixed MM black and white to what looks right to me. I replaced the kit steering wheel with one from a 1927 Lincoln injection kit. I cut down the belly pan supplied with the kit as I did not see one in photos of the 1919 car. Maybe it's more appropriate to the 1916.
I guess that about covers it. It was a fairly simple, fast build. Hope you like it.

Very, very nice build, Jerry. Right or wrong, I like the color. The tires look great. What did you use for the hood straps? They look real. What a weird looking rear suspension this car had!!! It always strikes me as strange how these cars had super streamlined rears but the fronts were like a brick.

Hi Kip,
The hood straps are strips of 3M green masking tape painted with Model Master raw umber. The buckles are small squares of thin plastic sheet painted silver with the tape applied so that three edges are visible.
