One of the biggest stumbling blocks in building a resin body is doing the chassis pan so I thought I would show you how I do mine I'm using a 1993 Penske body and a AMT PC-17 chassis pan for this but this methed works for any body and I found that the PC-17 works best but you can also use a Revell Reynard or AMT Lola chassis as well Tools needed X-Acto knife Razor Saw Masking tape OK on with the show (no cracks about my bedding) Here are the items and tools needed Start by turning the body over and laying strips of making tape on it When it looks like this take your finger and make a outline in the tape of where the openings are then using a sharp knife begin to slowly cut the tape leaving just the open area of the body covered with tape Then slowly and carefully pull the tape from the resin body leaving the tape in one piece then transfer the tape to the plastic chassis then use a razor saw to cut away all of the exposed plastic This is what you should have just a little finish sanding and shaping and you are done FYI as you can see I cut a little to much on the left side I could have re did it but I chose to keep this one as no one is perfect and as the late great Bob Ross would say "We don't make mistakes we make happy little accidents" sky point I hope this helps some of you guys get some stalled projects going or maybe it will help a 1st time resin builder get going Thanks for looking MikeB
