Here are photos of my model of Jim Hurtubise's 1971 Mallard. It was built from Lance Seller's excellent resin kit. This is the easiest resin kit I have built as the fit of all parts is excellent and the parts require little cleanup. The car is painted Tamiya TS-26 Pure White and the wheels are painted with Krylon Premium Original Chrome. I have better luck with Krylon than Alclad chrome. All of the decals including the tire decals are included with the kit. My decals took several minutes soaking before they would release from the backing paper but went on with no problems.

Wow! Super job Jerry! If I built it, I probably would've built it upside down. That would've caused it to quack up! Sorry, couldn't resist! Really nice build!

Just one word--WOW! The last roadster. Very nice build. I have one of these to build. Any hints, advice or pitfalls to avoid?

Hi Kip,
The Mallard was pretty much a straight forward build. The only modification I can think of was that I widened the trough on the top of the hood by just a little to get the turbo pipe/plumbing to sit down in it. I used thin strips of masking tape to simulate the hose clamps on the turbo pipe and that is probably why I had to widen the trough just a bit. The only other mod I can think of involved the instrument panel but Lance covers that in the kit instructions. Otherwise it went together without problems. I don't believe I had to fill a single pin hole. Just a very nice kit.
