Wilbur Shaw's 1940 Maserati built from Gary Doucette's resin kit. Built pretty much straight from the box. Painted with Tamiya TS-11 Maroon tinted with some TS-8 red. In hindsight I probably should've used straight maroon. I used kit decals along with IndyCals tire decals.

Very nice build. You're doing a great job with Gary's kits. Exhaust headers and pipe look great. The cockpit looks real. What did you do to get the seat look so much like leather?

Hi Kip,
Gary gets credit for the seat. All I did was brush paint two coats of Testors Insignia Red on it. I guess the pleats cast into the seat provides shadow lines or depth.

Thanks for the compliments. I was looking at your scratch-built/kitbashed 1939 Maserati on here a couple of days ago. That is one fantastic build.
