I'll try to build the Maserati 8CTF raced to win by Wilbur Shaw at Indianapolis in 1939. I start from the Smer/Merit 1/24 kit of the Alfa Romeo Alfetta. Cutting and Adding epoxy putty in the back to get the right shape. Adding plastic sheet and epoxy putty to make wider the bottom of the body. After puttying, sanding, puttying, sanding ... and marking panel lines, first coat with tamiya grey primer. Outer edge of front grille with soft steel wire 0.5 mm in diameter. Louvers with plastic strip and subsequent sanding Front grille with soft steel wire, inside was painted with matt black previously This is current state, with spoked wheels by Fernando Pinto and tires from a Heller Talbot Lago. I'm trying to make proper tires. Regards,

Really unbelievable...I am at a loss for words...just, beautiful. If you've never read "Umbrella Mike", check it out. It details the history of this car and it's owner, Mike Boyle. Again, well done! Tim
