This is my own version of Nino Farina's Ferrari Kurtis that failed to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 race in 1956. Kit is modified Monogram Roadster and decals by Indicals. JJ

Very nice. I wish Ferrari would have built an Indy car and gotten in the series.

Beautiful job. I’m not very familiar with the Monogram kit. Can you tell me what your modifications were outside of the obvious ones of the nose and the exhaust system?
Thanks,
Paul Erlendson

Beautiful job. I’m not very familiar with the Monogram kit. Can you tell me what your modifications were outside of the obvious ones of the nose and the exhaust system? Thanks, Paul Erlendson This is the Monogram body: Modifications: - opened and extended nose - starter/cross brace inside the nose hole - cut and fill bump hood - cut and fill lower sides air intakes - new air intakes - new exhaust - completed aluminium dash - upholstered seat and head rest An intermediate stage: Two wrongs mine: - wheels are not true for this version - right side of the cockpit is not at his right level JJ

Thanks JJ. I've been interested in this car for a long time but never thought of giving it a try. Think I'll have to start looking for the kit and maybe some proper wheels if they're available. Once again nice job.

Very nicely done! I started one with the old Strombecker Ferrari and pics from the Indy Museum (sp). Makes me want to get back to it. Thanks for the motivation!

Fantastic job, that's come out really well... I may have to have a go at this one if I can lay my hands a few more Monogram kits.
