Nice work Tim. You captured the "look" of the era very well. Where did you get the figures? Are they from one of the Aurora kits, or did you make them yourself? They are a nice addition to the model.

Tom: I started with the Etzel figure;too big. Then went to the Fujimi "civillian" driver. Torso too big. Took an old Wilbur Shaw from the Aurora kit Maserati and cut off the head and arms. Then used a resin head from "The Parts Box" store and the Fujimi arms. Then cut down the 2 man team from the old Aurora Murphy winner. Put new head & arms on the larger driver figure who now is a riding mechanic. Did some lengthening and positioning of the legs on both. Hand drawn goggles with Superglue "lenses." In Calvin Salee's words "Sand and file.Sand and file. Sand and file." Crouch them over a little. Try to imagine what you would be doing in their position and fit the arm angles, head tilts, and leg positions by that...I have been inspired by Fred Lombardo and his creations...like all modeling, time, patience, and practice will pay off... Thx for the kind words! Tim
