First one; what Tamiya yellow is closest to correct for the stripe on the Lotus 38? Got the Indycals decals this week, but the center stripe isn't paet of the set. I can mask & paint it, but need the closest yellow. Second one; what's the prevailing opinions regarding fictional/"phantom" Indy cars here? I've got a spare McLaren, tons of Evergreen, & the desire, not to replicate this version of the Atlanta, but to create another McLaren knockoff of a similar style. In the '70s almost everyone was copying the McLaren or the Eagle, so I want to also.

As for phantom builds go for it I I have no issues with it at all

I think I have every Tamiya TS yellow on hand, I just couldn't remember which one was correct. I'm using an original issue IMC kit I picked up back last year. Kit is open, clean & complete, with only the decal sheet being toast, as expected. I was meaning to get the decals, but held off, in case Michael offered the resin Stones for 65/66 again. I saw them in stock & ordered them with the decals. For the phantom, I'm thinking a nose more like the Lola T-70 than the Coyote like featured on that verion of the Atlanta. I do have one Lance Sellers kit in my stash, A.J.'s '64 winner. I need to fire off another order to Michael soon; decals for that, Al's '87 winner, & the AMT Man In Space kit.

Go for it my friend and be sure to post some pics as you go along The IMC/Testors Lotus is a tricky kit I've built my share in my day I remember the chrome suspension parts being brittle on the ones I've built
