Heck! The Greenlight die-cast is cheaper than the Salvino JR kit. I already ordered the Greenlight! Oh! That's right, postage is included on the Salvino JR kit that make's it alright! Still close to $70.00 a kit! I think a 1/25 scale kit at $39.99 like most other Salvino JR kits would've been much better. Just my 2 cents.

I don’t know if my OCD will allow me to change scales 😂. With the exception of Mario and AJ’s last cars in the Tamiya 1/20 everything else is 1/25. And the 1/25 is about perfect for displaying a bunch in a case without taking up an entire wall

Hey it will only cost $2,639.67 plus decal cost to build the full 33 starters of this year's 500 what a deal
Thats only 2 paychecks for me I guess I should put my order in now
the thing that sealed the deal is when you factor in shipping its only 64.99 per kit !!!!!!
I'm not Carnac the magnificent or Keskin but I have a feeling these will be the 1st Salvino's JR kits to hit Oillies
I'm having too much fun with this

Well, it's great to see a new Indy car kit coming on the market from a major manufacturer. It certainly is about time! I am certainly in for one or two, but I won't be buying them by the case like before. Especially at $79.99 a pop! Of course that includes shipping. However, even at $65.00 I just can't see buying more than one or two. Even at wholesale if I were able to purchase them at that would be around $40.00 a piece, still too expensive for a case. That's around $500.00 a case (12 models). Now at the regular price of around $40.00 for a Salvino JR kit, of course that would be in a different scale and we've had that discussion already, wholesale would be around $24.00 a piece. That would be about $300.00 a case, a little more manageable. Thinking a little more about it, for me it wouldn't be practical anyway to be buying by the case because there are no other kits out there to use it as a donor kit in that scale anyway. So, I look forward to see this new car. I've seen and heard some great reviews! Hopefully we'll continue to see more Indy car models from Salvino JR and not only the latest car, but other marks. I also can't wait to see what our aftermarket people can bring to this new model.
As far as potential for more modelers building this model in this scale, only time will tell. Much more goes into that equation than just what might happen. Most importantly is the economy. At least with us traditionalists as we are now called, it is much more of a sure thing that we will buy! Even though most of traditionalists are now on a fixed income. Nothing like pooping on your base. That is why many of the major sports are having issues. They have forgotten their fan base so they can take a chance to increase their bottom line, instead of satisfying the people that have supported them all of these years.

The kit is finally about ready to be released, within a month or so from what I am seeing. And it does actually look really nice. The reviews I've seen from people who have been building the pre-production test kits say they build well and the fit is good. Clay Kemp built this example and will be putting up a build video on YouTube in the coming weeks.

I saw Clay's build and it looks nice they decided to mold the monocoque in 2 parts that's a little puzzling to me from the parts trees that have been posted it seems that Jim Rodgers used the 1980's Tamiya F1 kits as a inspiration
Time will tell how these turn out but it's kinda telling we are less than one month from the 500 and they still only have 4 kits announced

Just think Shayne a short time ago I used to buy a whole case of AMT or MPC Indy car kits for that price at the wholesaler. Now you can't even buy'em wholesale! Well, at least the wholesaler that I buy them from does not carry them.
