Aerating the silicone rubber. As soon as metal is available I'll have this kit for sale. Then I'm planning on some other Epperly variations. #99 Demler, the #33 Jones & Maley, a couple of versions of the Hoover Motor Express Spl's (Bettenhausen & Marshman), and the Bowes Seal Fast. -Rick

"Take me to your leader" (in alien voice of course). Vac chamber is from Nalgene Corporation, they are about $30. Used it in a previous line of work for degassing epoxies and other adhesives prior to use. Seems to do the job. Plus I can wear it on my head and scare the kiddies at Halloween too!

Production started today on the 57' & 58' Belond Special. Pleased with the body and wheel castings. The wheels are Etzel's style with the outer wear indicator grooves in the tires. Molds for seat and other miscellaneous parts are setting up. -Rick

Hey Rick, those are looking great! What do you anticipate as the price for your kits? Gotta start saving... Thanks, Gary

The kit will be complete with no need for donor parts. I have upgraded to the Etzel style wheels a more accurate seat, and a rear end housing. Customer's will need to purchase decals from Michael at IndyCals. All of us in this little hobby/industry owe him our support. According to Michael's web site the separate decals for the 57' & 58' winner are listed at $7 each. The only specific differences that I can see from photos between the two years is that the 58' car had a roll bar hoop and Bryan also had a small nerf near his right elbow to keep him from rubbing the right rear wheel. He also had an extra windshield piece added since he was taller than Hanks. The Hoover Motor Express will require a different body mold and will be next up. Michael would get the first resin body to design and fit decals for it. In the mean time when I have all the metal and the rest of the molds done for the accesory pieces, and the color directions I'll do some sort of a launch. I'd say it would be in the next month's time frame. The cost of the kit will be $75 plus shipping. Just wanted to let everyone know that since purchasing the four masters from Bill that we've made some progress and that they just aren't sitting around gathering dust.

Apologies for the delay. I've got two more weekends of racing here in Nor Cal. Will be done on the 15th. I wasn't happy with the way the wheels were coming out, so I am remolding them. A good timeframe would be the end of October. I have the metal now. Just need to do a build so that I can take digital images for the directions.
My Best, -Rick
