It is sad that as small and specialized as our hobby is, that someone would do this to anyone who produces product that allows us to build Indy models. It's not like there is an over abundance of Indy kits out there to buy, whether its decals or resin. This effects more people than just Mike , it effects anyone who wants to build an Indy model that uses any decals that have a sponsor who has sent a cease and desist order. It is not easy to finish a model without decals. If you stop and think about it , anyone producing any Indy resin or decals is a possible target for a cease and desist, from sponsor's, teams, drivers, the Speedway, manufacturers. We could all end up waiting for revell monogram to do another Indy kit and that just isn't going to happen anytime soon. Lance

If someone did send that, that is an awful shame as it not only affects Mike, but it affects all of the hobby. I'd like to take whoever did it out back with a rubber hose... I just got one of Mike's other decals and it is fantastic work! I'm just shaking my head in "aw" that someone can do this. Nic

I'm in accord with you,I find it's very sacandalous, why any tire mark can tell any author fees on a very little decal making? Four years ago I had the same problem with "Monroe"(shock absorbers),I had made in this year a decal to realize any Zecol Lubaid Fords from 1960 to 1962,and after print about 20 decal sheets to any friends,I've received a mail from Monroe marketing who told me any money to reproduce their mark? Since this time all decals I make are only to me... As you see I had only 6 small "Monroe" decals in this sheet, and for these I did pay $5.00 USD by sheet to the registred fees???SCANDALOUS. Best greetings.

A guy in Australia makes vacuformed bodies for slot cars. Some of the cars are Ltus, Frrari, Cbra, etc. I am waiting to see if that is illegal.

Wow, I go away a week, and I miss the excitement.
Really all I can do is echo the comments of others that this is a real shame, and a low blow for an individual to act this way. I work with corporate types on a regular basis, including some corporate lawyers. I'd just lay low for a little while, and this "project" will work its way to the bottom of his/her pile.
I've always maintained that the community as a while owes a huge gratitude to the folks that make it possible, from Bill to Mike P, from Lance to Mike B, from Calvin to Rick, and all the rest. I know they haven't always gotten along amongst themselves, but they all deserve our respect for their work - at the end of the day they all have a common love of the hobby and simply want it to thrive.
Hang in there, Mike. This too shall pass.

I know there's many fustration, but the work is well worth it! Man Bill, it seems like yesterday, but wasn't it back in 91 or 92 that we had a long discussion of this same topic on the phone over the Marlboro logo? I guess some things will never change. Jim
