At Indy in 1995 the buzz was all about the Penske team not making the race! The race did go on without the Penske team and Michael Andretti qualified fourth on the inside of the second row. Michael ran up front in the beginning of the race dominating the race by leading 47 of the first 77 laps. However, as the Andretti luck would have it Michael would brush the turn four wall on lap 77 breaking his right rear suspension. Michael was passing Gugelmin who was entering pit lane and got out of the grove into the "gray" and brushed the wall knocking Michael out of the race. This is a Jorgensen 1995 Lola body, using mainly the Revell Reynard and AMT Lola kits as a donors. Testors Model Master paints were used, using Classic Gloss White and Classic Gloss Black, thinned out to about 50/50 and sprayed through a Pasche air brush. The finish was clear coated with Tamiya Acrylic clear gloss. Decals are a mixture of kit decals. When this kit was originally released Bill included decals, mainly for Paul Tracy's car. Decals used were kit decals, Indycals and homemade decals by Cal Wood. A special thanks to Cal for making a number of the small sponsorship decals! Jim
